SCROLL DOWN FOR RESCUE NEWS | Rabbit & Small Animal Rescue is a small no-kill volunteer rescue group that provides shelter and care for homeless, abandoned, abused and neglected pets that could no longer remain with their previous owners. Each animal is treated with respect and is provided a spacious cage while they are with Rabbit & Small Animal Rescue. We strive to educate the public about their pets and the plight of homeless animals. We support sterilization of rabbits and larger animals and responsible handling of our smaller pets. We screen all adopters to ensure safe, loving homes for our animals. |
July 2008 Mini-Lop Rabbits, 3-4 months old, already spayed and neutered and are ready to go to their forever homes. You can visit them at Petco located at 35725 Warren Road between Newberg & Wayne in the city of Westland. All are litterbox trained and very friendly.
July 2008: 6-month-old mice still available! We currently have a great many male mice available for adoption! Email us at rasa.rescue@gmail.com for more information!
July 2008: Dumbo Rats are available for adoption. All of our rats will be neutered/spayed before leaving the rescue. If the rats are too young to be neutered/spayed, the adopt fee is still $25.00 and when old enough we will have them spayed/neutered at no additional adopton fee to you. Statistics show that neutering/spaying can reduce mammary cancer by 70% and add 25% to the life of a rat. We currently have 1 spayed female and 4 neutered males available for adoption immediately. There are also 2 males and 10 female rats that can be adopted and brought back for their surgeries when old enough.
July 2008: We currently* have no space to take in rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, or gerbils, as we are full and have no foster homes available. We are no longer able to take in mice.
*Space fills up quickly, so we cannot guarantee that we will have room for every animal. Please fill out our application, and we will see if we will be able to help you.
